In 2004 an opportunity arose for Trevor & Marilyn Harch to delve into the wine production side of things and it is here that the Brockenchack journey began. They purchased the vineyard in Eden Valley (nestled nicely in between Henschke and Yalumba), with a view to retiring down in that georgeus corner of the world one day. The property was then producing grapes that went into Yalumba's Octavius wine.
Trevor, along with good friend and winemaker, Shawn Kalleske (of Laughing Jack Wines), both knew they were onto a good thing and together established Brockenchack, born from a passion for wine and a love affair with the Barossa.
The vineyard is named after their four grandchildren, Bronte, Mackenzie, Charlie and Jack.. They are the life and soul of their special place.
